Football Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lawrence County played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of the Russellville Golden Tigers. The Red Devils have struggled against the Golden Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Cam King threw for 29 yards. Tanner Hobbs was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Tavian Jones rushed for 96 yards.

Russellville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tarus Davis, who rushed for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 127 rushing yards gave Davis a new career-high. Bryson Cooper also helped with two scores in total.

Lawrence County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Russellville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
