Baseball Recap: Coleman Has No Trouble Against Thackerville

While Coleman put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Thackerville. Coleman blew past Thackerville 10-0. Coleman might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

Silas Walters was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madden Sawyer, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Holden Hamilton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Coleman and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Thackerville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coleman will welcome Achille at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thackerville, they will host Turner at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
