Softball Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. Santa Fe Indians
Ball is 0-10 against Santa Fe since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ball Tornadoes will host the Santa Fe Indians at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Ball turned things around against Iowa Colony on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pioneers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tornadoes have posted since April 12, 2024.

Klarisa Martinez made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over nine innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Martinez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Velasquez, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Velasquez's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Bridge City on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.
