Basketball Game Preview: Ronan Chiefs vs. Hamilton Broncs

The Ronan Chiefs will start their season against the Hamilton Broncs. Tip off is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hamilton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost to Loyola-Sacred Heart at home by a 62-43 margin on Tuesday.

Hamilton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1.

As for Ronan, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (12-10), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

Ronan came up short against Hamilton when the teams last played back in February, falling 59-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hamilton's Canaan Magness, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.
