Baseball Recap: Onalaska Takes a Loss

Onalaska extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-10. They lost 15-4 to the Rainier Mountaineers. The Loggers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Dakota Kramer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Broden Vickers, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Rainier, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. Considering they have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Rainier's side, Wyatt Cughan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Cughan has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kaden Goodman, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rainier beat Onalaska by a score of 11-7 later that day.
