Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhorn). They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Wilmot Panthers on Friday. Given the Elks' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Panthers are ranked 205th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elkhorn pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.7 points over those games. As for Wilmot, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn will welcome Beloit Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilmot, they will square off against Westosha Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
