Basketball Game Preview: Yeshiva of Virginia vs. West End Christian Crusaders

Yeshiva of Virginia will head out to take on the West End Christian Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Back in December of 2024, Yeshiva of Virginia had to suffer through a 91-43 loss at the hands of Grove Christian School. Yeshiva of Virginia hasn't had much luck with Grove Christian School recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, West End Christian waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 65-44 win. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

West End Christian pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Yeshiva of Virginia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Yeshiva of Virginia couldn't quite finish off West End Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2016 and fell 56-53. Can Yeshiva of Virginia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
