Football Recap: Waverly Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waverly can now relate to. They came up short against the Owego Free Academy River Hawks on Friday, falling 27-7. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ben Shaw threw for 43 yards on five of 14 attempts. Daltton Davis was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards. On the ground, Cooper Robinson rushed for 86 yards.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Owego Free Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Waverly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Owego Free Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-34 win against New Hartford on the 22nd.
