Baseball Recap: Moffat County Takes a Loss

Moffat County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the Grand Valley Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Moffat County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donnie Kroese, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Moffat County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Grand Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Moffat County by a score of 10-0 later that day.
