Baseball Recap: Littleton Lions vs. Wheat Ridge Farmers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Littleton). They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Wheat Ridge Farmers on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won six in a row.
Evan Siler spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Mario Flores was incredible, scoring four runs while going 4-for-5. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Lucas Calonder was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
