Volleyball Recap: Moffat County Comes Up Short

Moffat County extended their losing streak to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 4-17. They lost 3-0 to the Gunnison Cowboys. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Keona Bolton paced Moffat County's offense, picking up five kills. Bolton got some help from Adrian Profumo and her ten assists. Profumo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Addison Claus went supernova, getting eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Moffat County and Aspen will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gunnison, they will face off against Crested Butte at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
