Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Adam Roland and Marc Gamble

Timothy Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to Southland College Prep on the road by a 60-45 margin. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southland College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Timothy Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Marc Gamble, who posted 17 points, and Adam Roland, who put up nine points.

Southland College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Shaw, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 25 points. Shaw's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Remmer, who had eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.

Timothy Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Southland College Prep, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Timothy Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-44 victory against West Chicago on the 11th. Southland College Prep has also already played their next game, a 67-27 win against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on the 8th.
