Softball Recap: Central Columbia Drops Season-High Score on Berwick

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Columbia). They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Berwick Bulldogs on Sunday. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Central Columbia's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Berwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Coming up, Central Columbia will welcome Shamokin Area at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.58 runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Berwick, they will head out to square off against North Schuylkill at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
