Baseball Recap: Tate Takes a Loss

If Tate was feeling good fresh off their 23-0 takedown of Pine Forest on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aggies lost 11-4 to the Pace Patriots on Friday. The Aggies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Tate got a good showing from Bryton McLellan, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Tate saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Halfacre, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Tate's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pace, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tate will host West Florida at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pace, they will square off against Gulf Breeze at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
