Football Recap: Webster City Comes Up Short

After flying high against Iowa Falls-Alden last Friday, Webster City came back down to earth. The Lynx were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to the Fort Dodge Dodgers. The Lynx were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dodgers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Webster City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fort Dodge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Webster City will face off against Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Dodge, they will host Waterloo East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
