Recap: Marionville Comets vs. Greenfield Wildcats
The Marionville Comets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenfield 75-16 at home. The result was nothing new for Marionville, who have now won nine matches by 37 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marionville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dally Pomeroy, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lucy Newberry , who scored 21 points along with three steals.
Marionville's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Greenfield, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Marionville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sparta on December 23rd. Greenfield is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Spokane at 1:30 p.m. on December 26th.
