The Lucas Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Cornerstone Christian Academy, falling 65-4. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lucas Christian Academy in their matchups with Cornerstone Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Jasmine Nordstrom continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cornerstone Christian Academy, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Nordstrom pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maddye Hornsby, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Lucas Christian Academy bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lucas Christian Academy will take on Coram Deo Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cornerstone Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against North Dallas Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
