Volleyball Recap: Marietta Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Marietta won the last time they faced Southern and Clara Becker did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 3-1 on Monday thanks in part to Becker, who had 20 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Marietta walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Marietta has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Southern, they moved to 14-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, Marietta will head out on the road to square off against Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Hocking at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
