Baseball Recap: Franklin County Triumphs

Hagerstown typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Franklin County proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 10-4 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Franklin County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Kruthaupt, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. The Wildcats are 4-2 when Kruthaupt posts two or more runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Kaden Welch was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Franklin County's record now sits at 9-12. As for Hagerstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Franklin County by a score of 8-2 later that day.
