Softball Recap: Marion County Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Marion County waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Reese Saylors was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Pryor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Marion County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

The victory got Marion County back to even at 10-10. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Marion County will take on Signal Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they will square off against Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
