Baseball Game Preview: TEACH Homeschool Beach Breakers vs. Northeastern Eagles

The TEACH Homeschool Beach Breakers will take on the Northeastern Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in TEACH Homeschool's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Northeastern has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, TEACH Homeschool turned things around against Southampton Academy last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders, sneaking past 5-3.

Jordan Pyles was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Pyles wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zach Daniels, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

TEACH Homeschool hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Northeastern came up short against Manteo on Tuesday, falling 15-2.

TEACH Homeschool's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

TEACH Homeschool took their victory against Northeastern in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Beach Breakers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
