Basketball Recap: Marshalltown Takes a Loss

Marshalltown and Ankeny Centennial squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marshalltown had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars and fell 68-17. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Jaguars are ranked fourth).

Marshalltown's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Ankeny Centennial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

As of now, neither Marshalltown nor Ankeny Centennial have any future games scheduled.
