Basketball Recap: Compass Academy vs. Crane Cranes
Compass Academy had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 42-30 win over Crane on Tuesday. The victory was just what Compass Academy needed coming off of a 52-16 defeat in their prior contest.
Compass Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Craig Chance out in front who scored 11 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chance has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Liam Gahr, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Compass Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15. As for Crane, they dropped their record down to 3-18 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Stanton the next time they take the court. Compass Academy will head out to face the Buffaloes at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cranes will host them at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
