Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Polar Bears vs. Belmont Bison

The Northridge Polar Bears will square off against the Belmont Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northridge has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northridge fell victim to Bethel and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bees, falling 11-0. The Polar Bears have struggled against the Bees recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Belmont hadn't done well against Trotwood-Madison recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bison came out on top against the Rams by a score of 12-7.

Belmont got a massive performance out of Carter Blankenship, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jordan Blankenship was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Belmont, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
