Football Recap: Anson Takes a Loss

Anson was the 28-12 winner over Montgomery Central when they last played one another back in March of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Bearcats lost 38-16 to the Timberwolves on Friday.

Although Anson took the loss, they still got scores from Tasean Harris and Cordarrius Bivens.

Montgomery Central was led to victory by Aiden Sheperd and Nytavis Powell. Sheperd threw for 143 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Powell rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown.

Anson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Montgomery Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Anson will head out on the road to square off against South Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montgomery Central, they will be playing at home against North Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
