Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

St. Mary's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Rohlfing, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cardinal Ritter College Prep, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat St. Mary's by a score of 17-14 later that day.
