Recap: Borrego Springs Rams vs. Warner Wildcats
Even though the Borrego Springs Rams have not done well against the Warner Wildcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Borrego Springs came out on top in a nail-biter against Warner and snuck past 39-36. Winning may never get old, but Borrego Springs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Porras , who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Omar Acosta was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Borrego Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Warner, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Borrego Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Holtville at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. As for Warner, they will play host again and welcome Calexico Mission, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
