Softball Recap: Osborn Comes Up Short

Osborn and King squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Osborn had to settle for second. They lost 31-21 to the Crusaders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (14), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Osborn dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for King, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Osborn and King are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against Lutheran Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for King, they will venture away from home to take on Southfield Arts & Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
