Millard is 3-0 against Water Canyon since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Millard Eagles will face off against the Water Canyon Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.

Millard is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against South Sevier on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Millard had to suffer through a 73-26 loss at the hands of South Sevier. The Eagles have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Millard had strong showings from Olivia Bassett, who posted 11 points and three steals, and Eliza Larsen, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Water Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Parowan with a sharp 66-45 win on Tuesday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wildcats just coasted through the last quarter.

Millard's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Water Canyon, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.

Millard took their win against Water Canyon in their previous matchup on January 7th by a conclusive 60-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
