Volleyball Recap: Providence Prep Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Providence Prep had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over St. Mary. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Providence Prep never let St. Mary's on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 25-19.

Providence Prep's offense was headlined by Kiley Lehmann and Clara Baxley, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Camille Morris and her 23 assists. Sadie Hodge controlled things from the service line, finishing with 12 aces.

Providence Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9-1 record this season.

Providence Prep will face off against Grace Academy on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, after both having extra time off, they and Methodist Children's Home will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another on Tuesday.
