Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Horizon walked away with it. They walked away with a 72-60 victory over the Edgewater Eagles on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Hawks as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Horizon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Travis, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. What's more, Travis also posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Amaya Mitchell was another key player, going 8-for-20 to rack up 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Horizon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

France Garilus and Adrianna Skraban certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Garilus dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards, while Skraban had 16 points and five rebounds. Garilus has become a key player for Edgewater: the team is 16-4 when she posts at least eight boards, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaliyah Simmons, who scored nine points.

Horizon's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Edgewater, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Coming up, Horizon will take on Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bloomingdale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matchups. Edgewater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
