The Licking Heights Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Centerburg Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Licking Heights: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Centerburg has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Last Wednesday, Licking Heights came up short against Utica and fell 42-29.
Meanwhile, Centerburg beat Fredericktown 49-39 on Thursday. Given Centerburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Fredericktown is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Licking Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Centerburg, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
