Softball Recap: Keshequa Indians vs. Caledonia-Mumford Raiders
Keshequa couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Keshequa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Caledonia-Mumford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For Caledonia-Mumford's part, the result came thanks to Emma Years's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits.
At the plate, Caledonia-Mumford's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colleen Talty, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Caledonia-Mumford and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Keshequa will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Pavilion at 5:45 p.m. Caledonia-Mumford will take on Avon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
