Basketball Recap: Provo Bulldogs vs. Uintah Utes
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Payson, Provo was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Uintah Utes by a score of 57-45. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Utes, too.
Naomi Martinez had an outrageously good game as she went 9 of 18 en route to 22 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Yenchik, who posted three points along with nine assists and four steals.
Despite the loss, Uintah still got an impressive performance from Kenadie Maughan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Maughan has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Aunika Gehring was another key player, putting up 11 points.
