Hernando has gone 8-2 against DeSoto Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hernando challenge the DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. Hernando is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Hernando is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Southaven, who was ranked 25th at the time (Hernando was ranked eighth). Hernando walked away with a 3-1 victory over Southaven on Tuesday. Parks Raffety had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Horn Lake who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Horn Lake got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to DeSoto Central's two. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hernando's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for DeSoto Central, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Hernando skirted past DeSoto Central 1-0 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Hernando repeat their success, or does DeSoto Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
