Long Made His Presence Known in Miller's 59-7 Win
Starting off the list is Miller's Trevor Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long threw for 310 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Miller is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Long's next game is against King on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Gregory-Portland Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Reed Dooms
Reed Dooms was instrumental in extending Gregory-Portland's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop Dooms as he threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Dooms is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Carroll on Thursday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Dooms saw the Tigers), he threw for 322 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also punched in a rushing score.

Brian Mccullum helped snap Ray's six-game losing streak. Mccullum produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Ray's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Mccullum and Ray will venture away from home to challenge Corpus Christi Moody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Kayden Dufour of Corpus Christi Moody. Dufour rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards.
Dufour and Corpus Christi Moody will be playing in front of their home fans against Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Dufour up against the Texans' star RB Anthony Salinas. Will the contest be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
