It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Northview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Tinora Rams. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on six straight.

Colin Tomanski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Northview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-10 when he doesn't).

Northview's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tinora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6-1.

Looking ahead, Northview will venture away from home to face off against Maumee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tinora, they will welcome Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
