Baseball Recap: Davenport North Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Davenport North entered their tilt with Fort Madison on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Bloodhounds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 on Friday.

Davenport North pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Madison, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Davenport North will face off against North Scott at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Madison, they will be playing at home against Keokuk at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Bloodhounds' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
