Clinton's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  52-28 margin over the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  33-6.
 Several Lumberjacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Liam McClain, who rushed for 242 yards and one  TD while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.  Cohen Gerstenberger was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and two touchdowns.
The  victory snapped Clinton's losing streak at four games  and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Tupper Lake,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Clinton will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Morrisville-Eaton at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th. As for Tupper Lake, they will take on South Lewis at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Lumberjacks will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.2  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
