Recap: Rayne Wolves vs. Southern Lab Kittens
If the Rayne Wolves were feeling good off their 61-39 takedown of the Abbeville Wildcats on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rayne fell 52-41 to Southern Lab on Friday.
Southern Lab was led to victory by Troy Murphy and Charles Leblanc. Murphy dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Leblanc dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Leblanc is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Bryson Chapman was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Rayne now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Southern Lab, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Rayne will head out on the road to face off against Carencro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Lab won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Martinville at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
