Baseball Recap: Malvern Comes Up Short

If Malvern was riding high fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Jefferson County Christian on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell 16-13 to the Aquinas Knights on Friday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Malvern got a massive performance out of Cameron Good, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Tyler Cobb was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Malvern's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Aquinas, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Malvern has already played their next match, a 12-1 loss against Sandy Valley on the 10th. As for Aquinas, they will head out on the road to take on Mogadore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
