Badin had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 53-43 win over the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets on Wednesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the defeat, Archbishop McNicholas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grant Waters went 8-for-16 to rack up 23 points and seven boards. Waters' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Charlie Clark, who posted nine points.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
