Creyton Roup Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Mound City's Creyton Roup, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Corbyn Jakub was instrumental in extending Rock Port's winning streak to eight on Friday. Jakub was unstoppable, rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 101 yards on five of 14 attempts.
Jakub might have his next game, a home matchup with South Nodaway, circled on his calendar. Jakub picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries the last time he and the Longhorns duked it out back in October of 2023.
