Baseball Recap: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Comes Up Short

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy lost against Belle Chasse back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls fell just short of the Belle Chasse Cardinals by a score of 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Swamp Owls have lost by exactly two runs.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy got a good showing from Blake Schexnider, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Schexnider didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Brayden Netterville made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Keith Champagne also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Belle Chasse, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
