Basketball Recap: Wasatch Takes a Loss

Wasatch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orem Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wasps can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Tigers are ranked first).

Wasatch's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Orem, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Wasatch will venture away from home to challenge Cedar Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orem, they will host Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timpview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matches.
