Basketball Game Preview: St. John the Baptist Cougars vs. Chaminade Flyers

St. John the Baptist is 0-10 against Chaminade since February of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The St. John the Baptist Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Chaminade Flyers at 6:00 p.m. St. John the Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Chaminade likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, St. John the Baptist was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Mary's, taking the game 63-55. The match marked the Cougars' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Chaminade came up short against Holy Trinity on Friday and fell 71-63. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Flyers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Titans are ranked 245th).

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-9. As for Chaminade, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Things could have been worse for St. John the Baptist, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 81-65 loss to Chaminade in their previous meeting back in January. Can St. John the Baptist avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
