Softball Recap: Reavis Rams vs. Bremen Braves

Reavis scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-10 margin over the Bremen Braves. The win was some much needed relief for Reavis as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jessica Robitz was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Robitz was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Reavis got a massive performance out of Sienna Aragones, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, four RBI, and a run. Yagmur Akgunlu was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5.

On Bremen's side, Amanda Gaskin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 4-for-4.

Reavis' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Bremen, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Reavis will take on Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Reavis will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Bremen, they will head out on the road to face off against Joliet Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Joliet Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
