Baseball Recap: Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers vs. Calhoun Warriors

Greenfield/Northwestern lost against Calhoun back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Talon Albrecht was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Kayden Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Greenfield/Northwestern now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Calhoun, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
