Baseball Game Preview: Navarre Raiders vs. Niceville Eagles

Navarre is 1-9 against Niceville since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Navarre Raiders will host the Niceville Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Navarre fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Crestview on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7.

Bo Shipley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob McDonald, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Niceville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Marianna on Monday as Niceville made off with a 15-2 victory.

Matthew Marcantonio was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Yahir Burgos was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Niceville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marianna only posted an OBP of .435.
