The West Jefferson Roughriders will venture away from home to face off against the West Liberty-Salem Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. West Jefferson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

West Jefferson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Northeastern 10-0. Mia Burgett was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, West Liberty-Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Urbana, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, West Liberty-Salem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while Urbana are ranked 162nd).

The victory got West Jefferson back to even at 6-6-1. As for West Liberty-Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

West Jefferson suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to West Liberty-Salem in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Roughriders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
